**Utility Worker **
$11.55- $14.00
Major Responsibilities:
Entry-level position performing duties in an industrial setting. Personal protective equipment is required in all work areas. Employees work in constantly-changing environments with a variety of tasks to complete during a shift. Tasks include a broad spectrum of physical and mental activities. Assignments may include facility maintenance, clean-up (shoveling, digging, loading), janitorial, small, operation of mobile equipment operation (forklifts, road sweepers, man-lifts, painting equipment, skid steer loaders, and screening plant) and computer data entry.
Additionally, positions may require operating various concentrator equipment such as; Grind Operator, Cu/Mo Flotation Operator, Regrind Operator, Moly Flotation Operator, Copper Filter Operator, Tailings Thickener operators, Tailing Dam Operator and mobile equipment operator.
Employees will problem-solve and prioritize their work under general supervision. They also coordinate work assignments and communicate with coworkers, in a team environment, and maintain a respectful work environment. Ability and willingness to work shift work, flexible shifts,overtime and call outs is essential.
Skills/ Requirements Minimum Requirements:
•Ability to perform all the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
•Ability to demonstrate that safety is a core value
•Continous stable work experience.
•Ability to utilize all required PPE.
•Physical ability and willingness to work in a 24/7/365 operation
•Demonstrated effective past work performance, including (for internal candidates) no active safety, attendance or counseling (disciplinary) issues
•Must be able to read, comprehend and apply verbal/written instructions and procedures
•Willingness to learn and apply new or changing job-related tasks as required
•Effective communication skills
•Willingness to follow all safety, environmental and standard operating procedures
•Must be self-managing /able to produce results with minimal supervision
•Ability to analyze/resolve problems while demonstrating good judgment and decision making skills.
•Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in an interactive environment.
•Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in a process, industrial, or maintenance environment
•Experience with basic hand/power tools.
•Operation of mobile equipment.
Criteria/Conditions(specific background and skills:
*Candidate may fill position in the CMP or Mill Operations department and may be selected as temporary, part-time or full-time Utility Worker depending on experience, qualifications, and departmental needs at the time of selection.
•Ability to work in confined and elevated spaces
•Ability to wear all required PPE, climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50lbs.
•Ability to bend, twist, and stoop on a frequent basis.
•Ability to work in all types of weather,environments, ie, noise, dust, heat
•Ability to work on uneven work surfaces
